Gen Z in the Workplace: What We Can Learn from the Next Generation

As Gen Z steps into the workplace, they bring with them a fresh outlook on how we work, communicate, and live. 
For many of us in older generations, their approach might seem bold or even unfamiliar. But rather than dismissing their values and habits, we should embrace the lessons they offer. After all, as much as we’ve shaped the professional world, Gen Z is now giving it a much-needed facelifts.

This generation is redefining the workplace with their unique blend of values, skills, and expectations. Whether you’re a Baby Boomer, Gen Xer, or Millennial, there’s a lot we can learn from Gen Z’s approach to work. In this article, we’ll explore eight valuable lessons Gen Z teaches the rest of us about how to thrive in the modern workplace.

1. Authenticity is Everything
Gen Z isn’t interested in putting on a mask to fit into a corporate mold. They want to show up as their true selves, from their personal style to their ideas and even their struggles. They expect the same from their leaders and colleagues. For Gen Z, authenticity means being honest about who you are, what you stand for, and what you need.
