Job search sometimes takes longer than you expect, and you might feel discouraged because of not hearing back anything from recruiters. If this happens, job search fatigue is going to be real. You will feel down and begin to question your credentials/experiences/resume style.

Once this job search fatigue occurs, try to make some changes to your style or method of job hunting. You may want to consider the following steps to ensure that you keep your momentum up on your way to your career.

Five Key Steps to Handle a Stressful Job Search

1. Have a break or a vacation

Taking a break would help you refresh your mind, emotion, and physical alertness. While the job search is not yet over, why not lean back for a few days and equip yourself with positivity? Devise another strategy and start a new beginning.

2. Reassess your method

The competition in the job market is getting stronger, so you need to reassess yourself if your qualifications today would land you a job. Try to extend your job hunt by studying your industry and field and knowing any possible opportunities that you might be missing. If there is, open your door to build and secure the job that can help you move forward to your professional advancement.

3. Revising your application document

After several months of trying and searching for the aimed job, you might need some time to revise your resume. There could be some details that you have to add compared to what you had before. . You should consider the feedback coming from your previous interviews and add what you might think relevant.

4. Speak with a career coach

Ask assistance from a career coach when you feel stress in searching for a job. Do not hesitate to discuss with them your previous experiences to discover reasones for not getting interview offers. You can also ask how to handle these issues  carefully to secureaspired job in minimal time.. A career coach is a person you can count on in times like these. It is they who know the strategy well and the techniques that you should follow.

5. Discover new skills

While you are taking rest or revising your application document,  discover the new skills you may be possessing. You may take courses or seminars to serve to develop additional skills.. Other professional development courses can also help you improve your confidence and performance level.

A job search can always be stressful. If you are going to let yourself down, nothing will help. So, make sure that you do your best and keep the energy up in the job search process.
